
Jodhpur: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, with Anuj Agnihotri securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 and emerging as the topper of the prestigious examination. The results, released after completion of the written examination and personality test stages, recommended 958 candidates for appointment to services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central services.
Who is Anuj Agnihotri ?
Anuj Agnihotri hails from Rawatbhata, a small town in Rajasthan near Kota. He completed his early schooling there before moving to Jodhpur for further studies. His academic journey later took him to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, where he pursued and completed his MBBS degree.
Despite having a professional pathway in medicine, Agnihotri chose to pursue a career in public administration and began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. His decision reflected a commitment to contributing to public service through governance and policymaking. Over the years, he focused on disciplined preparation and gradually worked toward achieving his goal.
The Civil Services Examination is widely regarded as one of the most competitive recruitment processes in India. Conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission, the exam consists of multiple stages, including the preliminary examination, the mains written examination, and the personality test. The final merit list is prepared based on candidates’ performance in the mains and the interview stages.
