New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi late Tuesday evening after experiencing discomfort, according to reports. News agency PTI, cited by *Financial Express*, stated that the Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after she complained of uneasiness.
Sources told PTI that her condition is stable and not considered serious. She has been placed under the supervision of a team of doctors for observation. The hospital admission was described as routine, with medical staff monitoring her health closely.
The development prompted concern among party members and supporters, as Gandhi has had periodic health issues in the past requiring hospital visits. However, initial assessments suggest that the current episode is not critical.
According to information shared via PTI and reported by Financial Express, Gandhi’s symptoms may be linked to seasonal changes affecting her health. Doctors have opted to keep her under observation to ensure there are no complications and to allow for further evaluation if needed.
Her children, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, are expected to remain in close contact regarding her condition. Party leaders have not issued any separate statement but are closely tracking updates from the hospital.
This latest hospitalisation follows earlier instances where Gandhi was admitted for routine check-ups or minor ailments. Medical experts attending to her have indicated that such precautionary admissions are standard, particularly considering her age and medical history.
Further updates on her health are awaited as doctors continue to monitor her recovery. For now, hospital sources maintain that there is no immediate cause for alarm, and her condition remains under control.
