According to the sources, Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch has taken the matter seriously and is actively investigating the threat. Investigators are coordinating with the appropriate law enforcement authorities in the United States to gather additional details about the origin of the message and the number used to send it.
This incident highlights the ongoing challenges posed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been linked to multiple extortion attempts targeting high-profile individuals in recent times.
