Tragedy Strikes Maharashtra Republic Day Event as Police Sub-Inspector Succumbs to Heart Attack

DHARASHIV — A somber atmosphere has enveloped the Dharashiv district of Maharashtra following the sudden demise of a police official during the 77th Republic Day celebrations. According to a report, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Mohan Jadhav passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack while participating in a flag-hoisting ceremony on Monday.

The incident took place in Umarga town during a program organized by the State Excise Department, where PSI Jadhav was stationed. Witnesses stated that the veteran officer was standing in formation with his colleagues, preparing to salute the national flag, when he suddenly complained of dizziness. Moments later, he collapsed to the ground, sustaining a significant head injury during the fall.

The sudden collapse triggered immediate concern among the personnel present. It noted that colleagues rushed PSI Jadhav to a private medical facility in Umarga. Despite their swift efforts, medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival. Preliminary clinical assessments suggest that a severe cardiac arrest was the primary cause of death.
