Speaking to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Germany is a crucial component of India’s relationship with Europe and a valued ally in advancing world peace, stability, and prosperity.
“Had a warm and productive conversation with Chancellor Friedrich Merz,” Modi said, adding that India and Germany will continue to strengthen their forward-looking strategic alliance for the benefit of both nations’ citizens.
In a post on “X,” Modi stated, “We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening our Strategic Partnership across trade & investment, defense, clean energy, advanced technologies, talent mobility, and other key areas as India and Germany celebrate 75 years of our diplomatic relations.”
According to the prime minister, Germany is a crucial component of India’s interactions with Europe and a valued ally in advancing world peace, stability, and prosperity. He declared, “Together, we will continue to deepen our forward-looking Strategic Partnership for the benefit of the people of our countries.”
