In a troubling incident from Bihar, the brother of renowned Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi was seriously assaulted during a confrontation linked to a land dispute. The attack took place on Sunday in Belsand village, part of Barauli town in Gopalganj district, which is the actor’s ancestral home.
Vijendranath Tiwari, the victim, sustained injuries from sticks and clubs in what authorities described as a potentially life-threatening assault. He received initial medical care at the Gopalganj Model Hospital late that night before being transferred to a larger medical facility in Patna for additional treatment.
Local police responded promptly to the case, detaining one individual suspected of involvement in the attack. Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari confirmed that the arrested person has been identified and is being transferred to judicial custody. As of now, the victim’s family has not submitted a formal written complaint, though officials indicated that further legal proceedings would follow once such a document is filed.
