Mumbai’s NSCI Worli Dome Concert Turns Tragic As 28-Year-Old Dies, Probe On 

Worli: A 28-year-old man lost his life under suspicious circumstances during a live music concert at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai’s Worli area. The incident occurred on June 6 during The Outworld by Klangkuenstler event.

The deceased has been identified as Vrishabh Mahendra Gangurde, a resident of Mumbai’s Mahim locality. He had attended the concert along with his friends.

Preliminary information by the Mumbai Police, Zonal DCP Jayant Meena said, “An accidental death report was registered yesterday at Tardeo Police Station regarding the death of a 28 year old male, who was brought dead to the Breach Candy hospital. The deceased had attended a concert held in NSCI Dome Worli. During the event, he reportedly experienced a medical emergency and was transported by ambulance from the concert venue to Breach Candy Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.”

Meanwhile in a separate incident during the same concert, he added, “Another female, aged 31, complained of ill health and was shifted to Jaslok Hospital for medical treatment. She received the necessary medical care and is presently reported to be in stable condition. As per enquiry and stated by her she had consumed Alcohol and energy drinks during that time. No drug substance used was revealed.” Further he informed that the investigation surrounding the death of the deceased is still underway and are examining the inside CCTV cameras and other electronic devices.

The incident has surfaced months after two MBA students reportedly died due to a suspected ecstasy overdose after attending the ‘999999999 Techno Concert’ held at the NESCO Centre in Goregaon East on April 11. Following the deaths, police launched a detailed investigation into the alleged distribution and use of narcotic substances during the event. Authorities have so far arrested 12 individuals, including suspected drug suppliers, students, a security guard, staff linked to NESCO, and an event organiser. 

According to the latest update from police, the forensic report in the NESCO case is still awaited, and the investigation is underway.
