Planning for a trip to Jammu? Wait ! Recently, IMD has issued a fresh update on weather alerts of rainfall in the plains and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. So if you are thinking of going on a trip to Jammu, be aware of the climate updates as the weather is going to remain the same till April 10.ย

As per IMD Forecasts, the Western Himalayan region will experience occasional rainfall due to active western disturbance. The sky will remain cloudy and the upper regions will face some moderate rain and snowfall.ย

Kashmir Weather posted on X about the warning alert in the change in weather caused due to western disturbance for next 36 hours.ย

As per experts, the unstable weather condition is due to the fresh western disturbance in the Mediterranean region which is why the moisture into the Himalayas triggers the rain in plains and snow in the mountainous region.

Fresh snowfall will be witnessed in the region of Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam while in the plains of Kashmir valley and Jammu rain showers are expected to come. Moreover, mountain passes and highways might face slippery roads and less visibility due to the weather. Due to snowfall and rain travelling will be disrupted especially in the hilly region.
