Influencer Mad Sandhu Shot Dead by Unidentified Assailants in Amritsar; Video Surfaces

Police at the spot in Amritsar where social media influencer Mad Sandhu was shot dead

Social media influencer Mad Sandhu, a well-known name online, was shot at by unidentified assailants in Amritsar and critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a nearby hospital.

A video recorded shortly after the incident has surfaced on social media. It shows Sandhu lying injured on the road. His associates, who were at the scene, immediately rushed to help, lifted him and took him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police cordon off area, probe begins

After being alerted, a local police team reached the spot. The area was cordoned off and an investigation into the shooting was initiated. The identities of the attackers and the motive behind the shooting have not yet been established.

Earlier dispute with Nihang jathedar

As per reports, the attack is suspected to be linked to a dispute between Sandhu and Nihang jathedar Manpreet Singh Khalsa about three months ago. During that dispute, members of the Nihang side had reportedly objected to Sandhu’s attire, social media activities and older videos. He was also warned against creating such content.

Sandhu had defended himself during the controversy. He said he had made changes in his life and was no longer repeating his past mistakes. He had also alleged that his old videos were being circulated and that an unnecessary controversy was being created around them.
