Gurugram Road Rage Caught On Camera: Woman Biker Hit By Car, Driver Flees

Gurugram: What started as a routine ride on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road reportedly turned into a frightening encounter for a woman biker after a car allegedly followed her, hit her motorcycle and then fled the spot.

The woman, identified as Sia, was riding her Aprilia RS 457 with members of her biking group when the incident happened on Sunday. An action camera mounted on her motorcycle reportedly captured the moments leading up to the crash.

According to Sia, the occupants of the car were behaving aggressively and continued following her even after she asked them to keep their distance. She alleged that they also asked her to stop.

Sia said she chose to keep riding rather than stop the bike. One of her friends, who was riding behind her, also tried to intervene as the car continued to follow them.

Things took a dangerous turn when the car allegedly moved in front of Sia’s motorcycle and struck it. The impact threw her off the bike, while the motorcycle was dragged for several metres before the car sped away.

Friend Chases the Car

The incident did not end with the car leaving the scene.

Sia’s friend reportedly chased the vehicle and managed to catch up with it at a traffic signal. He confronted the driver and told him that the car had hit the biker.

According to Sia’s account, the driver denied being responsible for the crash and then drove away when the signal changed.

The entire episode has since drawn attention online, particularly because the alleged collision was captured on camera.

Biker Seeks Police Action

Following the incident, Sia shared her account on social media and appealed to the Gurugram Police to take action.

She has also provided details of the vehicle, including its registration number and information about its registered owner, according to her account.

The video has been widely shared, with social media users tagging the police and calling for an investigation.

Sia has alleged that the men in the car appeared to be drunk. However, this remains an allegation and has not been independently confirmed by police.

What Police Have Said So Far

As of September 14, there was no confirmed police statement publicly establishing that the driver had been arrested or that an FIR had been registered in the case.

The allegations made by the biker and the footage she shared would need to be examined by the authorities as part of any investigation.

The incident has once again raised questions about road rage and the safety of two wheeler riders on Gurugram’s busy roads.

For Sia, the incident was not simply about damage to her motorcycle. It was about what she says was a frightening encounter in which she felt she had to keep riding because stopping could have put her in an even more vulnerable position.

The camera footage could now prove important if the police formally investigate the incident and establish what happened on the road that day.
