Mumbai/India : Gold and silver rates in India remained largely on steady for today, with minor variations across major cities. Chennai recorded the high gold rates , while silver prices tracked global trends closely.
The gold remained for 24 crat at Rs 14,454 per gram and 22 carat at Rs 13,249 per gram and 18 carat gold at Rs 10,840 gram. Across the major cities , gold rate showed only slight variations. Chennai recorded the high price for 24 crat gold for Rs 14,563 gram , while other cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata , Bangalore , Hyderabad , and Kerala reported uniform and steady pricing. The consistency suggests stable domestic demand , particularly in the jewelry sector , despite the ongoing global issues .
Silver prices also remained consistent with the metal priced at Rs , 249.90 per gram and rs 2,49,900 per kilogram. Traders note that silver continues to track global trends closely , influenced by industrial demand and currenct movements . The southern cities such as Chennai and Hyderabad has reported slightly higher silver rates compared to the other cities.
