New Delhi: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced a new WhatsApp-based feature that allows subscribers to check their Provident Fund (PF) balance more conveniently. According to Aaj Tak, the service aims to simplify access to PF-related information without requiring users to go through lengthy login procedures.
With the new feature, EPFO members can receive account-related details directly through WhatsApp by following a few simple steps. The initiative is expected to improve accessibility and provide quicker access to important PF information for millions of subscribers across the country.
As reported by Aaj Tak, users must ensure that their Universal Account Number (UAN) is linked and updated with the necessary details before using the service. Once the required verification is complete, subscribers with Whatsapp AI Chatbot can use the facility to check various things. They are as follows:
- User can check their PF Balance.
- The last 5 transaction histories can be checked.
- Even the claim status can be checked via whatsapp service.
The report noted that EPFO has been expanding its digital services in recent years to make employee-related financial information more accessible. The WhatsApp feature is part of these efforts to improve user convenience and streamline communication with subscribers.
EPFO members continue to have multiple options for checking PF details, including the UMANG app, official portal, SMS services, and now WhatsApp support.
