Poriborton, Bengal Free Of Fear : PM Narendra Modi After BJP’s Historic Win

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said his political journey and the BJP’s electoral success were deeply connected to spiritual and cultural faith. In 2013, when the BJP appointed me as its PM candidate, and when I went to Kashi to file my nomination and was surrounded by journalists, a voice naturally rose from my heart. I said, ‘I have not come here on my own, nor been sent by anyone. Maa Ganga has called me, he said.

Modi on Monday invoked the legacy of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, saying he had long envisioned a self-reliant Bengal. “Syama Prasad Mookerjee dreamt of a self-reliant Bengal. We had to wait for long. But not any more,” the Prime Minister said. Today is a historic day. It is unprecedented. When years of efforts turn into success, the happiness that is seen on the faces of people is the same happiness that I see on the faces of BJP workers across the country today,” the Prime Minister said.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday thanked voters across five states after the conclusion of the Assembly elections, saying the results reflected strong public support for the party and the NDA. Speaking after the polls, Nabin said the mandate underscored people’s trust in the alliance’s leadership. He congratulated voters in all five states for what he described as a historic show of support. “The people have expressed their faith in our leadership, in the BJP and the NDA,” he said,

Addressing party workers and leaders amid celebrations at the BJP headquarters, Nabin said the results in Bengal mark a turning point for the party’s growth trajectory. “The lotus will soon bloom in South India,” he said, signalling the BJP’s ambition to make deeper inroads into southern states. Senior leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J. P. Nadda, were present at the party office.
