New Delhi: Delhi recently witnessed light showers on Thursday, providing much-needed relief from the scorching heat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning, forecasting a wet spell across northwest India till June 13 under the influence of a western disturbance.
According to the IMD, “Under the influence of western disturbance, wet spell likely over northwest India till 13th with possibility of thunderstorm with gusty winds (50-60 kmph) & hailstorm on 11th & 12th June, 2026.

Earlier, several parts of Delhi-NCR experienced rainfall after enduring an extended period of intense heat.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that rain activity is likely to spread across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan between June 10 and June 14.
The weather department has also stated that a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayan region from June 11 onward, leading to widespread changes in weather conditions.
