In a shocking incident in Delhi’s Khyala area of West Delhi, a 14-year-old boy named Sahil was fatally stabbed on Tuesday evening, police reported.
According to authorities, the attack occurred in broad daylight when an unidentified assailant—or possibly assailants—stabbed the teenager in the stomach. Officers received a Police Control Room (PCR) call around 8:45 p.m. alerting them to the stabbing. Upon arrival at the scene, police found that the victim had already been rushed to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The boy’s body is set to be released to his family following a post-mortem examination. Sahil’s father works as a tailor, and the teenager had two brothers.
Police have since apprehended two minors in connection with the case. Initial investigations indicate the stabbing stemmed from a quarrel that took place in an open space in the Khyala locality.
Investigators are actively examining CCTV footage from cameras near the crime scene to gather further evidence and identify any additional suspects. The exact motive remains under scrutiny, with no conclusive details established yet.
