The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) declared on Saturday that although Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation had satisfied one of its main demands, the other requests were still unfulfilled and that the demonstration at Jantar Mantar will go on until they were.
The CJP reiterated its demands for ₹1 crore compensation to the families of students who died by suicide, no action against student protesters, and a public apology from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police in a post on X. It also marked Pradhan’s resignation as fulfilled.
The Cockroach Janata Party applauded Pradhan’s resignation on Saturday, saying, “Kaha jaata tha iss sarkar main istife nahi hote.” “Jhukti hai duniya, jhukaane vaala chahiye,” Abhijeet Dipke remarked. “We have done it,” he added, pointing out that this is the first resignation from the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Images from the demonstration scene showed the demonstrators rejoicing as they learned of the minister’s resignation.
This follows Pradhan’s announcement on X that he was resigning in order to protect the nation’s young from becoming “trapped in a web of confusion.”
“I have been associated with students, teachers, and the cause of education reform for more than forty years,” he wrote in his resignation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I’ve always thought that a robust, inclusive, and progressive educational system is the cornerstone of a powerful country,” Pradhan stated.
