In a surprising incident reported by NDTV, a poultry farm owner in Uttar Pradesh has alleged that loud music played during a wedding procession led to the death of 140 chickens at his farm. The incident took place in Sultanpur district on the night of April 25, drawing attention to the possible impact of excessive noise on animals.
According to the NDTV report, the procession was part of a wedding celebration and passed near the poultry farm at around 9:30 PM. The event included a DJ system playing music at high volume. The farm owner, Sabir Ali, claimed that the intense sound caused panic among the birds, which ultimately resulted in their deaths.
Sabir Ali, who operates a poultry facility near the village, filed a formal complaint with the police, stating that the high-decibel noise frightened the chickens. As per NDTV, he attributed the entire loss to the loud music played during the procession.
Following the complaint, authorities registered a case against the DJ operator, identified as Kavi Yadav. The police have begun an investigation to determine whether the sound system exceeded permissible noise levels and whether it directly contributed to the incident.
The report also mentions that officials are examining the sequence of events to understand the exact cause of the deaths. Experts cited in the NDTV article suggest that exposure to extremely loud noise can trigger severe stress in birds and animals, which in some cases may lead to fatal outcomes.
No immediate response was available from the DJ operator or the family involved in the wedding procession, as per NDTV. The investigation is ongoing.
