Bomb Making Note Found At Ayodhya Medical College, MBBS Student Detained

Ayodhya: A routine day at a government medical college in Ayodhya turned into a security scare after a handwritten document containing details related to explosive materials was found inside the X-ray department. The discovery prompted an immediate police response, with a first year MBBS student detained for questioning and two others brought in as part of the ongoing investigation.

The document was recovered from the X-ray room at Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College on Saturday. According to officials, the department in charge noticed the handwritten papers and informed the college administration, which then alerted the police without delay.

Investigators say the student who has been detained was on duty in the X-ray room during the previous night’s shift. Based on preliminary findings, police suspect he may have written the document. However, officials have emphasized that the investigation is still in its early stages and that no final conclusions have been reached.

Two other individuals who were present during the same shift are also being questioned to help investigators establish the sequence of events and determine how the document ended up inside the department.

Sources familiar with the investigation said the handwritten note mentioned several chemicals and materials that can be associated with explosive manufacturing. However, police have not recovered any explosive device, bomb making equipment, or suspicious materials from the medical college campus. The investigation so far revolves around the document itself rather than the discovery of any explosives.

Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Arvind Singh confirmed that the college administration immediately informed the police after the document was found. He said the institution is extending full cooperation to the investigating agencies and that further action will depend on the outcome of the probe.

The incident has naturally raised concerns among students, staff and local residents, but investigators have urged people not to jump to conclusions. Police have clarified that there is currently no official evidence linking the case to any terror plot or organised criminal conspiracy. Officers say every possible angle including whether the document was prepared for academic curiosity, personal reasons or something more serious is being examined before any determination is made.

Following the discovery, security measures at the medical college have been strengthened as a precaution. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage, questioning those who were on duty and examining the recovered document for further forensic and investigative leads.

The case has attracted attention because of the sensitive nature of the material mentioned in the note. Even so, investigators have stressed that the presence of such a document alone does not establish criminal intent. They have appealed to the public to avoid speculation until the inquiry is completed.

As of Saturday evening, the detained MBBS student remained under questioning, while police continued to collect evidence and record statements. No formal arrest has been announced, and officials have not disclosed any additional findings beyond confirming that the investigation is ongoing.
