Caught On Camera: BJP Leader Allegedly Slaps, Abuses Two Men Over CJP Protest

New Delhi: A purported video showing a BJP leader allegedly abusing and assaulting two men for taking part in a Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest has triggered a fresh political controversy, with opposition parties demanding swift action against the accused.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, appears to show the leader confronting the two men over their participation in the protest. During the exchange, he is allegedly heard using abusive language before slapping one of them and pushing the other. While the footage has been widely shared online, authorities have not yet confirmed whether a case has been registered or if any action has been taken.

The incident comes against the backdrop of the ongoing CJP protests, which have drawn large numbers of young people demanding accountability over repeated examination paper leaks and reforms in the recruitment process. What began as student led demonstrations has now evolved into a wider political issue, attracting attention from opposition parties and civil society groups.

Reacting to the viral video, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of trying to silence dissent and demanded the immediate arrest of the leader seen in the footage. Other opposition leaders also questioned whether ordinary citizens could participate in peaceful protests without fear of intimidation.

The BJP had not issued a detailed public response to the allegations at the time this report was published. It also remains unclear whether the two men have lodged a formal police complaint.

The video has fuelled a larger debate over political intolerance and the treatment of protesters. In recent weeks, several incidents linked to the CJP agitation have surfaced online, with videos showing confrontations involving protesters, political workers and security personnel. Many have called for impartial investigations into every such incident, regardless of political affiliation.

As the clip continues to circulate, pressure is mounting on authorities to verify the facts, identify those involved and clarify whether legal action will follow. With the protests showing no signs of slowing down, the episode is likely to add further heat to an already charged political atmosphere.
