According to reports, Kashyap’s name appears in email exchanges between Epstein and individuals including Giuseppe Bersani, Gino Yu, and Ornella Corazza.

The emails reportedly pertain to Epstein’s travel plans to destinations such as Cuba and Shanghai, identifying Kashyap among several “cool people” anticipated to participate in workshops centered on Buddhism, technology, and medicine. The filmmaker’s name appears alongside others, including Ben Goertzel, Bruce Damer, and DJ Spooky.

No Evidence of Direct Involvement

While screenshots circulating on social media platforms do reference Anurag Kashyap’s name, no verification exists regarding any direct link to Epstein’s illegal activities. Furthermore, the emails contain no indication that Anurag Kashyap and Jeffrey Epstein were physically present together at any location or time. No accusations have been made against the filmmaker.

Social Media Response

Following the emergence of these screenshots online, users took to social media with varied reactions. One Reddit user remarked, “Is this Epstein’s files or Chitragupt’s accounting book? Everyone’s in there. Afraid someday my name may show up somehow.” Another commented, “So many wealthy or influential people actually participated in Epstein’s crimes go after them. Don’t target those who were merely invited to events.” A third user wrote, “Yeh Epstein files nahi, Google search ho gaya hai. Search karunga toh mere istri wale ka naam bhi niklega.”

Reports indicate that besides Kashyap, actress Nandita Das’s name also features in the files. She is listed as a speaker at the 2015 Lake District Festival in the UK, organized by Jem Bendell. The festival reportedly offered activities including music, kayaking, yoga, tai chi, dance lessons, and storytelling workshops at Brathay Hall.

On the professional side, Kashyap is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated neo-noir film Kennedy, starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone. The film is scheduled to premiere in India on ZEE5.
