New Delhi: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has spoken out about the devastating flood situation in Assam, calling attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the northeastern state and urging people to extend support to those affected. In an emotional message shared on her Instagram Stories, the actor said the recurring floods continue to cause unimaginable loss every year, adding that it is heartbreaking to see thousands of families struggling once again.
Referring to the scale of the disaster, Alia noted that more than 60 people have lost their lives while lakhs of residents have been impacted by the floods. “It happens every year, and it still catches us off guard,” she wrote, urging her followers not to ignore the crisis.
