As Navratri approaches in Gujarat, a growing number of Ahmedabad residents are turning to specialised intravenous drip treatments at high-end aesthetic clinics to prepare for the festival’s demanding schedule of garba nights.
Instead of relying solely on traditional facials and salon packages, many are opting for cocktail infusions containing Vitamin C, B-complex, zinc and glutathione. These sessions, lasting around 45 minutes, are promoted for delivering instant energy and a brighter complexion by delivering nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system.
While the trend first gained attention among Gen Z, clinic appointments show strong demand from working professionals in their 30s and 40s as well. Many cite the dual pressure of long office hours and late-night dancing as the reason for seeking a quick recovery boost.
In Ahmedabad, a single IV drip treatment typically costs between Rs 4,000 and Rs 10,000. Multi-session festive packages can go up to Rs 15,000 depending on the clinic and the specific formula used.

One 24-year-old digital strategist from Prahlad Nagar described booking her first session after tight work deadlines and late-night practice left her skin looking drained. She said friends in her garba group recommended a single glow drip to stay energetic and maintain a fresh appearance for photos across the nine nights.
A 38-year-old financial consultant from Bodakdev explained that he opted for a one-time energy infusion purely as a seasonal endurance booster. He noted that dancing past midnight for several consecutive nights becomes physically exhausting when followed by early morning office hours, and he does not plan to make it a regular habit.
Local medical experts have urged caution. A dermatologist practising in the Sola area of Ahmedabad emphasised that these infusions are formal medical treatments that require proper screening. Concentrated nutrients such as high-dose antioxidants should not be taken without evaluating an individual’s health profile, as unsupervised use can lead to allergic reactions, fluid overload or unnecessary strain on the liver.
For many in the city, the treatment is viewed strictly as a short-term festival preparation rather than an ongoing wellness routine.
