85 Nations Adopt Delhi Declaration At India AI Impact Summit, Endorsing PM Modi’s ‘AI For All’ Vision

More than 85 nations and international organisations formally adopted the Delhi Declaration on AI Impact at the conclusion of the India AI Impact Summit on Saturday, marking a landmark moment in global cooperation on artificial intelligence. The declaration signals a broad international consensus on harnessing AI for economic growth and social good.

Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the development on X, stating that 88 countries and international organisations had signed on to the declaration. “Entire world has endorsed PM Narendra Modi Ji’s human-centric vision of AI,” he wrote, adding that the declaration draws inspiration from the Sanskrit principle of Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya meaning welfare for all, happiness for all with the goal of democratising AI resources for the global population.

The declaration is built around seven foundational pillars: Democratizing AI Resources, Economic Growth and Social Good, Secure and Trusted AI, AI for Science, Access for Social Empowerment, Human Capital Development, and Resilient, Efficient and Innovative AI Systems.
