20 Feared Trapped After Restaurant Building Collapses In Kota’s Jawahar Nagar; 2 Rescued in Critical Condition

Kota: Approximately 20 individuals, including students, are feared to be trapped beneath the rubble following a building collapse in the Jawahar Nagar locality of Kota, Rajasthan, officials said. Two persons have been pulled out from the debris in serious condition and have been transferred to the medical college hospital for treatment.

As per preliminary information, the collapsed structure accommodated restaurants and was situated in a densely populated area, sparking fears that multiple people may have been present inside when the incident occurred. The precise count of those trapped has not been officially verified yet.

Police personnel arrived at the site shortly after the incident came to light and promptly sealed off the surrounding area to manage the gathering crowds and enable smooth rescue efforts.

Rescue operations are presently in progress, with teams meticulously clearing the debris in a bid to find survivors. Heavy equipment is being deployed, although officials noted that precautionary measures are being taken to prevent additional harm to those who remain trapped.
