Woman Allegedly Murdered by Husband in Amreli Amid Holi Celebrations

Amreli: A tragic incident has marred the Holi festival celebrations in Gujarat, with a 26-year-old woman allegedly killed by her husband in Amreli. The incident occurred in Khodiyar Nagar on Keria Road in Lathi city.

According to reports, the husband, identified as Gulab Karim Shama, suspected his wife, Rehana, of having an affair. This suspicion reportedly led to a violent attack where he stabbed her in the neck and stomach with a sharp weapon, resulting in her death. Initial reports had indicated the wife was beaten to death.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) of Amreli and officers from the Lathi police station immediately arrived at the scene. The police have registered a case of murder against the accused, Gulab Karim Shama, and have launched a further investigation into the matter.

The incident occurred while the Dhuleti festival, part of the Holi celebrations, was being observed across Gujarat. Authorities are currently investigating the full circumstances surrounding the alleged murder.
