Wasting Water? Your Supply Will Be Disconnected, As Bhuj Municipality Takes Strict Decisions To Prevent Water Wastage

The Bhuj Municipality, in a bid to prevent the wastage of water, held a meeting, in which certain strict decisions were taken. From now on, if anyone wastes water, their water connection will be disconnected. Moreover, if the line is damaged during excavation, the responsible agency will have to compensate for the damage caused.

While on one hand, water is distributed intermittently in most areas of Bhuj, on the other hand, water is wasted in many societies. In addition, due to the absence of water pump in the tanks, the water flows out on the roads and is thus, wasted.

The water supply of the Bhuj Municipality, from now on, will instruct the watermen in every area to install water pipes in the tanks present in the residencies. After that, if wastage of water takes place, the water connection will be cut off.

Whereas, if damage to pipeline during excavation is caused by any agency, then the respective agency will have to compensate for the damage. Additionally, the Bhuj Municipality will generate public awareness and give instructions to prevent the wastage of water.
