VIDEO: Bus Conductor Allegedly Thrashes Disabled Student In Kheda, Forces Him To Buy Ticket Despite Having Divyang Pass

Video Of Incident Goes Viral, Bus Conductor Suspended

A shocking incident has surfaced in Kheda, where a bus conductor allegedly behaved rudely and thrashed a disabled student who was travelling in his bus. A video of the incident has gone viral. Apparently, the disabled student was travelling in an ST bus which was on its way from Dhuvaran to Nadiad. When bus conductor Vinod Parmar came up to the student and enquired about his ticket, the latter showed his Divyang Pass (disabled person’s pass).

However, the bus conductor refused the pass, claiming it to be fake. He also threatened the student to buy a ticket. The student tried several times to convince the conductor that the pass was genuine; but the conductor was reluctant to believe him.

The conductor forced the student to purchase a ticket, and even used abusive language while talking to him. Worse still, he thrashed the student. The student reportedly took a video of the conductor beating him up. In the video, it is visible that the conductor tried to snatch the phone from the student, and even tried to kick him.

The disabled student has sought action against the conductor. On the other hand, speaking on the issue, Nadiad Depot Manager KK Parmar said that the behavior shown by the bus conductor is absolutely inhumane and shameful. He must have checked the validity of the pass, Parmar added. He further said that no student should be insulted like this in the public.

The bus conductor, Vinod Parmar, has been suspended with immediate effect and has been transferred from Nadiad to Borsad depot. The viral video, meanwhile, has sparked public outrage, demanding justice for the disabled student.
