On the occasion of Gujarat Sthapana Divas, Vadodara City Congress organized a floral tribute program. However, police rushed to the spot and stopped the program. Moreover, the workers were detained. Due to which, the frustrated Congress workers started chanting slogans against BJP.
Apparently, Vadodara City Congress had organized a ‘Pushpanjali Arpan Karyakram’ (floral tribute program) at Nyay Mandir, on the occasion of Gujarat’s Foundation Day. As a part of which, a large number of Congress workers had gathered at the spot. At that time, police personnel reached there and detained the workers by making them sit in groups.
The Congress workers alleged that people protest by conducting rallies without taking permission, but no one stops them, whereas this was not even a political event but still they were being detained by the police. They argued that they were being wrongly detained by the police, as they were only celebrating the Foundation Day of Gujarat. As a result, the workers got angry and started chanting slogans against BJP.
