Unauthorized Drone Shot Down During Ahmedabad Rath Yatra Using Anti-Drone Gun

Ahmedabad: As part of heightened security measures for the 148th Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad, police forces have been on high alert, particularly in sensitive areas like Dariyapur, Shahpur, Jamalpur, and Kalupur. Many areas have been declared ‘No Drone Zones’. However, during the procession, an unauthorized drone was detected flying over the Dariyapur route and was immediately neutralized by police using advanced anti-drone technology.

The Crime Branch has been closely monitoring high-risk zones with tech-based surveillance systems to ensure the event proceeds without incident. Officials confirmed that only pre-approved drones were granted permission to operate during the festival. Any unidentified or unauthorized drone, like the one brought down today, will be swiftly intercepted and disabled without hesitation.

The anti-drone gun used in this incident is a sophisticated piece of equipment designed to disrupt the signals of unauthorized drones. It works by jamming the drone’s GPS, GSM, and communication links, effectively forcing it to crash or land before it can pose any threat.

Authorities reiterated that strict monitoring is underway along the entire Rath Yatra route. Surveillance teams have been deployed on rooftops throughout the city to ensure no suspicious activity goes unnoticed. The police have assured the public that any breach of protocol will be dealt with swiftly in the interest of public safety and maintaining order during this major religious event.
