Two Young Boys, Aged 13 and 20, Die of Suspected Heart Attacks in Rajkot

Rajkot: The city witnessed two tragic incidents today as a 13-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man reportedly died from heart attacks, raising growing concerns over cardiac issues in young individuals. In the first incident, 13-year-old Bhavesh Laxmanbhai Bambha collapsed unexpectedly while visiting Atal Sarovar with his family.
Around 10 PM, Bhavesh was standing near a snack stall run by his uncle when he suddenly lost consciousness after drinking water. He was rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Preliminary findings suggest a heart attack as the cause of death. Bhavesh was a 7th-grade student and the elder of two brothers. His sudden passing has left his family in deep shock.
In a separate incident, 20-year-old Yuvrajsinh Shirpal Yadav, a resident of Metoda GIDC and originally from Uttar Pradesh, collapsed while using the restroom at a factory where he worked. The incident occurred around 7 AM. CCTV footage shows Yuvrajsinh falling suddenly, possibly after losing consciousness. He sustained a head injury and was taken to Rajkot Civil Hospital but succumbed to his injuries around 7:30 AM. Authorities suspect a heart attack may have caused the fall. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
Both deaths are under investigation as police await post-mortem reports to confirm the causes. These incidents add to a troubling trend of heart-related fatalities among youth in Gujarat. Just recently, a young woman in Surat’s Katargam area also passed away after suddenly collapsing.
