Two Police Officers In Amreli Face Serious Sexual Assault Allegations

Amreli: In a troubling development from Gujarat’s Amreli district, two police officers are facing serious charges in separate cases involving sexual assault.
In the first case, Ravirajsinh Chauhan, posted at Babra Police Station, has been arrested after a minor girl accused him of kidnapping, rape, and threats to her life. According to the complaint, Chauhan had allegedly been sexually abusing the girl for the past four months and intimidating her to stay silent. Following the report, a special team led by Woman PSI J.R. Sarvaiya took Chauhan into custody.
In a separate incident, a 30-year-old woman has lodged a rape complaint against Mahesh Solanki, a police officer posted at the district headquarters. The woman alleges that Solanki repeatedly forced her into a sexual relationship under the pretense of marriage. Solanki is currently absconding, and police have launched a manhunt to trace him.
Both cases have sparked public concern, raising serious questions about accountability within the police force. Investigations are ongoing.
