Two-Month-Old Baby Dies In Fatal Dog Attack In Porbandar

Lately, the state is witnessing a rise in the number of dog attack incidents at an alarming rate, which have also proven to be fatal in some cases. Amid such conditions, recently, a tragic incident occurred in Porbandar in which a dog attack resulted in the death of a 2-month-old baby.

The incident is of Kotda village of Kutiyana, Porbandar. As per sources, the baby was sleeping in a cradle when a group of dogs came and attacked the baby. Due to the attack, the baby suffered serious head injuries. As the baby’s parents got to know about the attack, they rushed the baby to the hospital.
However, the baby tragically died while undergoing treatment.

The baby’s family informed that the baby was sleeping in the cradle when suddenly a group of dogs came and attacked it. During which, the baby fell down from the cradle and got severely injured in the head. They reached there and tried to chase away the dogs, after which they rushed the baby to the hospital. But the baby died soon after reaching there.

Meanwhile, the baby’s body has been sent for post-mortem. This incident poses as a warning especially for parents of infants to ensure their safety properly and to not leave them unsupervised. On the other hand, the increase in the number of dog attack cases recently is a matter of concern as innocent people lose lives in such cases.

In Kutiyana itself, about a month ago, it was found that reportedly 14 people had suffered from dog bites. Such incidents prompt for immediate action by the administration to curb the future occurrence of the same.
