Two Impostors Posing As Government Officials Caught In Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Two individuals impersonating high-ranking government officers were apprehended in Ahmedabad. According to reports, the suspects were caught at the Ahmedabad Rural SP Office to be officials on an investigative mission. Their suspicious behavior raised doubts among police personnel, leading to a background check and subsequent investigation. It was then confirmed that they were frauds, and they were promptly taken into custody.
Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the fake ID cards they carried falsely claimed they held titles such as “Joint Director,” “National Director,” and “Vice President” within the Ministry of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), Government of India. They had even misused official national symbols, including the Ashoka emblem, to lend authenticity to their forged identities. This fraudulent use of government insignia played a key role in uncovering the deception.
The accused had claimed affiliation with a fictitious organization named the “National Crime Investigation Commission” and had come to the SP Office in Sarkhej under that pretense. However, their documents failed to withstand scrutiny, exposing the entire scheme.
Earlier fake police officers, judge, and even fake court have been discovered from Gujarat. This latest incident has raised serious concerns about security lapses and the ease with which such impersonators can infiltrate official premises. If individuals like these can access police offices unchecked, it calls into question the safety of the general public.
