Two Groups Clash Violently Over Trivial Issue In Amreli: 10 Injured, Police Launch Investigation

Amreli: A minor disagreement over garbage disposal turned into a violent group clash in Pipalwa village of Lathi taluka in Amreli district. At least 10 people sustained injuries in the brawl, which involved the use of sharp weapons like axes.

According to reports, the incident occurred after an argument broke out between two community groups regarding the disposal of waste in the village. The dispute quickly escalated as members from both sides armed themselves with sharp weapons like axes and wooden sticks, launching a brutal attack on each other.

Emergency services responded swiftly, and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals via emergency ambulances. The police arrived at the scene shortly afterward and began an investigation into the violent altercation. Statements from the victims are currently being recorded, and further inquiries are underway. Reports suggest that some relatives of the victims created a commotion inside the hospital, prompting authorities to intervene and restore order.

This incident comes on the heels of another recent group clash in Bhabhar, Banaskantha, where violence erupted on a public highway following a dispute over giving way to a vehicle. That confrontation, which involved members of the Darbar and Thakor communities, led to protests and damage to public property, with nearly 80 individuals booked.

The Amreli police are expected to take stringent action against those involved in the Pipalwa village clash, as the state continues to witness outbreaks of violence stemming from seemingly trivial issues.
