Tragic Accident On Bhuj-Khavda Highway: Parents And Young Child Die In Crash

Bhuj: In a devastating road accident late Monday evening, a young family of three lost their lives when a speeding trailer collided with their motorcycle on the Bhuj-Khavda highway near Palara village in Gujarat’s Kutch district.

According to police reports, 25-year-old Imran Junas Sumra, a daily wage laborer, was traveling with his 22-year-old wife Zarina and their 4-year-old son Imtiyaz on a motorcycle. The family had reportedly gone to Bhuj to collect medication and was returning when tragedy struck.

As the family approached Palara on their way back, a speeding trailer (registration number GJ-39-T-1566), allegedly attempting to overtake another vehicle recklessly, rammed directly into their bike. The force of the collision flung all three into the air, killing them instantly. Eyewitnesses described the horrific scene as the trailer, unable to control its speed, also hit another parked trailer on the side of the road.

Local residents gathered at the site immediately, and Bhuj B Division Police arrived soon after. The bodies were sent to Bhuj’s G.K. General Hospital for postmortem examinations. Authorities have registered a case against the trailer driver for reckless and negligent driving. Preliminary investigations suggest the accident was a result of the driver’s dangerous overtaking maneuver.
