Tragedy in Ahmedabad: Family of Five Found Dead in Bagodara in Suspected Mass Suicide

Ahmedabad: A family of five, including three young children, has died in an apparent mass suicide in Bagodara, a town near Ahmedabad, sending shockwaves through the local community. According to preliminary information, the husband, wife, and their three children ended their lives by consuming poison.
What Happened?
The deceased have been identified as Vipul Vaghela, his wife Sonal Vaghela, and their three children: 11-year-old daughter Simran, 8-year-old son Mayur, and 5-year-old daughter Princy. The family, originally from Borkotha in the Dholka area, was living in a rented house in Bagodara where Vipul worked as an autorickshaw driver to support them.

The motive behind this tragic decision remains unknown, as no definitive information has come to light yet.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon receiving news of the incident, Bagodara police and emergency medical services rushed to the scene. They were soon joined by specialized units, including the Ahmedabad Rural Special Operations Group (SOG), the Local Crime Branch (LCB), a Forensics Science Laboratory (FSL) team, and the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) from Dhandhuka.

The bodies of all five family members have been transported to a hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Police have initiated a thorough investigation and have searched the family’s residence, but no suicide note has been found so far. Authorities are currently recording statements from neighbors and others in the vicinity to understand the circumstances that may have led to the tragedy. However, the reason why the family took such an extreme step is still under investigation.
