Tourist Bus Escapes Major Crash In Mount Abu After Brake Failure, 5 Sustain Minor Injuries

Mount Abu: A major accident was narrowly avoided in Mount Abu when a private tourist bus from Gujarat Travels suffered brake failure close to the toll plaza. Thanks to the driver’s quick decision-making, the bus was brought to a stop before it could plunge into a valley, preventing what could have been a tragic outcome.

The incident occurred as the bus, carrying tourists from Gujarat, began rolling backward due to brake failure. As it lost control near the toll gate, the driver managed to steer the vehicle into a large rock, halting its reverse movement and stopping it from falling into a deep gorge.

Though the collision caused a tree to fall, the timely intervention helped avoid serious injuries. Around four to five passengers sustained minor injuries and were assisted by nearby travelers and local residents who rushed to the scene. Toll plaza staff also helped evacuate passengers safely from the bus. Locals acknowledged the driver’s quick thinking, crediting him with saving the lives of those onboard.
