“Thankful To The Indian Army”: Wives Of Pahalgam Attack Victims From Gujarat React To Retaliatory Airstrikes

Ahmedabad: Responding to the terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26, including three people from Gujarat, the Indian Armed Forces launched a major operation early Wednesday, striking multiple terrorist camps in Pakistan. The action, in retaliation to the J&K attack, has brought a sense of justice and emotional closure to the grieving families from Surat and Bhavnagar who lost their family members in Kashmir.

The wife of Shailesh Kathaliya from Surat, who was among the three Gujaratis killed, expressed relief and gratitude after hearing about the Indian Army’s airstrikes. “Now my husband’s soul can rest in peace. I have complete faith in our government. When I heard that the terrorists were hunted down and eliminated in their own hideouts, it brought some solace. The souls of all those who died that day must feel at peace now.”

She added, “I request the Gujarat government to extend support to us, just as Maharashtra supported its victim families. That help would mean justice for our children.”

A woman from Bhavnagar, who lost both her husband and son in the same attack, also reacted to the strikes under Operation Sindoor. “I pray no other Indian woman goes through what I did,” she said with deep emotion. “I’m forever grateful to the Indian Army for their support. This strike has given me peace. I hope these terrorists are completely wiped out. I’m proud of our Army and truly thankful to Modi ji.”

The Indian Armed Forces’ action has been seen as a direct and firm response to the terror attack in Pahalgam that took the lives of innocent civilians. Families now hope the government continues to provide justice and support to those left behind.
