Western Railway to Launch Superfast Tejas Special Train Between Mumbai Central and Rajkot – Full Details Inside

Rajkot: In a move aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, Indian Railways has announced the launch of several special trains. Specifically, Western Railway will introduce a Superfast Tejas Special Train between Mumbai Central and Rajkot on special fare to meet the high travel demand during the summer season.

The announcement was made by Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek.

Superfast Tejas Special Train to Run Between Mumbai Central and Rajkot

According to available information, Train No. 09005 will run from Mumbai Central to Rajkot every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing at 11:20 PM and arriving in Rajkot at 11:45 AM the next day. This service will operate from April 21 to May 28, 2025.

Similarly, Train No. 09006 will operate in the reverse direction from Rajkot to Mumbai Central every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, departing at 6:30 PM and reaching Mumbai Central at 7:30 AM the following morning. This service will run from April 22 to May 29, 2025.

Train Will Include First AC, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier Coaches

The train will halt at key stations in both directions, including Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Surendranagar, and Wankaner.

In terms of amenities, the Superfast Tejas Special Train will offer First AC, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier coaches.

Ticket bookings for this train service will be available across all PRS (Passenger Reservation System) counters starting from April 19.
