Bhuj: Amid heightened tensions along the India-Pakistan border, a suspicious drone crashed into a high-tension power line early Thursday morning in Khavda, located in Gujarat’s Kutch district, triggering a small explosion.
The incident occurred around 6 AM in an area close to the Indira Bridge in Khavda near the sensitive India-Pakistan border. As per the reports, a loud noise following the blast, prompted immediate response from security forces and local police.
Officials have not confirmed whether the object originated from across the border. However, given the sensitive location and ongoing cross-border hostilities, the situation is being treated with utmost seriousness.
Meanwhile, the border regions remain on high alert. According to reports, Pakistani forces continue to engage in mortar shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu. In response, the Indian Army has mounted a strong retaliatory action, and precautionary evacuations are underway in several vulnerable border villages. Security forces are maintaining a close watch across all sensitive sectors in Gujarat and beyond, as the situation remains volatile amid ongoing border skirmishes.
