Surat: 20-Year-Old Woman Suspiciously Found Dead At Home; Family Suspect Her Lover Of Murder
Deceased Was In A Live-In Relationship With Lover, Who Is Now Absconding
A 20-year-old woman in Surat was suspiciously found dead at her home. She was found in an unconscious condition, after which she was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. She also had injury marks on her neck. The woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the woman’s family members have expressed their suspicion on the woman’s lover of strangulating her to death. The deceased, identified as Asmita Machhar, originally hailed from Dahod. Since the last 2 years, she was involved in a live-in relationship with a certain Rahul Machhar. Together, they have a daughter.
Apparently, today (July 14) morning, Asmita’s body was found in an unconscious state on her bed at her home. Moreover, there were injury marks on her neck, resembling nail marks. Her uncle, who lives near her home, got to know about the incident and immediately took her to the Civil Hospital. She was declared dead by the doctors. Her body has been sent for post-mortem. Meanwhile, during all this, the deceased’s lover, Rahul, was nowhere to be seen. Asmita’s family is suspecting Rahul of strangulating Asmita to death, after which, he might have absconded.
On the other hand, the deceased’s father said that 2 years ago, Rahul had eloped with Asmita to Surat, where they had been living in Palanpur Jakatnaka. He added that he had been informed about Asmita’s unconscious condition by his brother-in-law. He further shared that they occasionally talked to Asmita, but even after such an incident, Rahul had not informed them.
Owing to the injury marks on Asmita’s neck, and Rahul’s disappearance, Asmita’s family accuses Rahul of murdering her. The deceased’s family has approached the police seeking justice. Rander Police Station PI and ACP also reached the hospital upon learning about the incident. Meanwhile, Asmita’s post-mortem report is awaited.
