Speeding Car Slams Into Illegally Parked Truck On Bhavnagar-Somnath Highway; 1 Dead, 3 Seriously Injured

Amreli: A tragic accident occurred late at night near Rajula in Amreli district, when a speeding car crashed into a truck illegally parked near the Hindorna Bridge on the Bhavnagar-Somnath Highway. The impact was so severe that half of the car slid underneath the truck, killing one person on the spot and severely injuring three others.

The deceased has been identified as Arjanbhai Bhojbhai Mori. The three injured passengers, Dharmendrasinh Kanubhai Parmar, Sanjaysinh Jorsan Mori, and Nitaben Sanjaysinh Mori, were rushed to Bhavnagar Hospital for urgent treatment.

All four were returning to Vadiya village in Sihor taluka from a wedding function in Sutrapada, Gir Somnath district. The collision was so intense that authorities had to use a crane to retrieve the car and the body from the wreckage.

At the time of the incident, two trucks and a large trailer were found illegally parked on the bridge, with several other heavy vehicles stationed underneath it as well. Police have filed a case against the truck driver for gross negligence, and legal proceedings are underway. The incident has sparked public outrage, with many demanding tough enforcement against illegal parking on highways to prevent similar tragedies.
