Renovation Work Of Sabarmati Ashram In Ahmedabad In Full Swing, Restoration Work Of 22 Houses Completed

Ahmedabad : The Governing Council meeting of the Mahatma Gandhi Sabarmati Ashram Memorial Trust was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Under this project, restoration work of about 28 houses is being carried out. Out of these, the work of 22 has been completed and the entire restoration work is planned to be completed by March-26.

In this renovation of Sabarmati Ashram, about 98 thousand small and big trees and plants have been planted so far to give priority to green growth and action is being taken to plant another 16 thousand by March-26, it was also stated in the presentation. Currently, modernization and renovation of Sabarmati Ashram is being carried out. The progress of various works being undertaken by Sabarmati Ashram was reviewed in this meeting of the Governing Council.

Executive Council Chairman I.P. Gautam gave a comprehensive presentation showing the overall progress of this work. In this meeting, extensive discussions were held on how visitors, especially the youth, who visit the ashram can participate in various service activities by linking Pujya Bapu’s idea of ​​Shramdaan with the activities of the ashram. Also, the agenda of the previous meeting of the Governing Council was ratified.

Members of the Governing Council of Mahatma Gandhi Sabarmati Ashram Memorial Trust MP Narhari Amin, Kartikeya Sarabhai, Jayesh Patel and Chief Secretary M. K. Das, Principal Secretary Youth, Services and Cultural Activities Rahul Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Vikrant Pandey, Tourism Secretary Kuldeep Arya and OSDI of Mahatma Gandhi Sabarmati Ashram Memorial Trust K. Patel were also present in the meeting.
