Gold Smuggling: Ranya Rao Shares These Details About Gujarat, Do You Know ?

Ever since Kannada actress Ranya Rao was caught with 15kg of smuggled gold, her arrest, followed by interrogation, is revealing shocking information day by day. Recently, the actress confessed about her encounter at Ahmedabad during smuggling. Apparently, the women associated with her had landed at the Ahmedabad airport with the smuggled gold.

On the basis of Ranya’s confession, the customs department has prepared a list of women peddlers involved in gold smuggling from Ahmedabad airport. Their profiles will be prepared accordingly and shared with central agencies.

In addition, the travel records of women frequently going to Dubai are being recorded. The number of incidences they have been caught with gold or other objectionable items is being recorded as well. On the other hand, the department is keeping a watch on the details of the transactions taking place in their accounts with the help of information, including Aadhar card and PAN card.

An investigation is underway to detect whether Ranya landed at Ahmedabad airport with the smuggled gold.

According to sources, the customs department suspects that Ranya landed in Ahmedabad with a fake passport. As a result, CCTV footages of the last six months are being examined. Investigations are also being conducted to find out if Ranya is in contact with the peddlers or smugglers of Ahmedabad.

The Ahmedabad airport seems to be a convenient spot for gold smugglers, as time and again, incidences of smugglers getting caught red-handed come to light.
