‘मैं तुझे जरूर चिट्ठी लिखूंगा’, PM Modi’s Emotional Moment with Young Fan in Gujarat | WATCH VIDEO

BHAVNAGAR, GUJARAT – During his visit to his home state of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a heartfelt moment with a young boy at a public rally in Bhavnagar on Wednesday.
The emotional exchange occurred when a child, who had been waiting with a portrait he made for the Prime Minister, began to cry as the artwork was finally handed over to him. Noticing the boy’s distress, PM Modi immediately intervened.
PM Modi was quoted saying, “A young boy has brought a portrait. He must have been standing for so long, his arms must be hurting. Someone please collect it from him. Well done, son. Come on, son, you’ve got your painting back, there’s no need to cry now.” In a gesture that further comforted the child, the Prime Minister added, “If your address is written on it, I will definitely write you a letter.” The child subsequently calmed down after having some water.
Following this interaction, PM Modi addressed the gathered crowd, shifting focus to national development goals. He emphasized that for India to become a developed nation by 2047, self-reliance is the only option.
“The 140 crore citizens of the country must have one resolution: whether it is chips or ships, we have to make them in India. With this vision, India’s maritime sector is now set to undergo next-generation reforms,” the Prime Minister stated. He highlighted a recent government decision to recognize large ships as infrastructure, a move aimed at strengthening the country’s maritime sector.
PM Modi also pointed to the solar energy sector as an example of India achieving its targets ahead of schedule.
In his address, the Prime Minister criticized previous governments, specifically targeting the Indian National Congress party. He alleged that for decades after independence, the Congress ignored India’s inherent strengths and capacity.
“The Congress government entangled the country in the license-quota regime, kept it isolated from the world market, and when the era of globalization arrived, they chose the path of imports instead,” PM Modi claimed. He further accused past Congress-led administrations of corruption through scams and of implementing policies that he said hampered the country’s youth and prevented India’s true potential from being realized.
