Tight Security Arrangements for PM Modi

Stringent security measures have been put in place for PM Modi’s visit to Somnath. Somnath SP Jaideep Singh Jadeja stated that security arrangements have been made at three levels—land, water, and air—for the Prime Minister’s program. More than two thousand police personnel have been deployed. Over 20 IPS-rank officers, along with various Inspectors and SI officers, have also been stationed.

What is Somnath Swabhiman Parv?

It is noteworthy that in 1026 CE, Mahmud of Ghazni invaded the Somnath Mahadev Temple. The Somnath Swabhiman Parv has been organized to mark 1000 years since this invasion. Despite repeated attempts to destroy the temple, it stands today as a symbol of faith. Additionally, this year marks 75 years since Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel undertook the restoration of Somnath Temple.
