Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a visit to Gujarat. After covering Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Dahod, and Bhuj on the previous day, he began his day today with a roadshow in Gandhinagar. The event celebrates the success of “Operation Sindoor” and honors the bravery of Indian soldiers. The roadshow commenced from the District Panchayat office and will proceed to the Mahatma Mandir. He is scheduled to address the gathering at 11 AM where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects totaling ₹5,536 crore.
In light of his visit, over 3,000 police personnel have been deployed along the route from Raj Bhavan to Mahatma Mandir. Security arrangements are categorized into four tiers, and strict protocols are in place to ensure safety and crowd management. More than 50,000 people were expected to attend, posing a significant logistical challenge to the administration.

Local authorities have been meticulously preparing for the event, with final touches continuing into Monday evening. Officials from various wards and villages across Gandhinagar district have mobilized people to participate in the celebrations, especially at Central Vista, where the main roadshow is taking place. Around 50 designated blocks along the route are set up for people to stand and greet the Prime Minister.
The roadshow route, from Raj Bhavan through Central Vista to Mahatma Mandir, has been decorated with a tricolor theme. Structures and stages in the colors of the Indian flag have been erected, and color-coded zones have been implemented. Due to the event, the Central Vista road is closed today, and no-parking zones have been declared across the route. Additionally, drone activity has been prohibited, with strict penalties for violations.
