Parent Slaps And Attacks Teacher With Knife In Shocking School Incident In Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: In a disturbing incident at Nutan Bharati Vidyalaya in Rakhial, Ahmedabad, a parent attacked a school teacher with a knife following an argument over a certificate for his daughter. The parent, identified as Haji Mustak Ahmed, had come to the school on Saturday, June 28, to collect a Leaving Certificate (LC) for his daughter, a student in 6th grade. After initially speaking with the school principal, he was directed to clerk-cum-teacher Shabbir Sheikh for further assistance.
During their conversation, Sheikh reportedly informed Haji Mustak that the certificate could be collected on Friday. This contradicted the principal’s earlier statement, who had mentioned Monday as the pick-up day. The conflicting information enraged Haji Mustak, leading him to physically assault the teacher by slapping him.
As Sheikh stood up, the situation escalated dramatically, Mustak pulled out a knife from his pocket and attacked the teacher in the head. Other staff members quickly intervened and separated the two.
Shabbir Sheikh was rushed to Civil Hospital, where he received seven stitches for head injuries. CCTV footage capturing the attack has surfaced and clearly shows the parent pulling out a knife and striking the teacher. A police complaint has been filed at the Rakhial Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
