Panchmahal: Congress Leader Deported For Two Years; Was Alleged Of Extortion, Breaching Peace

Several Cases Registered Against The Leader Earlier As Well

In a latest update, JB Solanki, leader of opposition (Congress) of the Shehera Taluka Panchayat in Panchmahal district, has been deported for 2 years. He was alleged of duping citizens by luring them in the pretext of giving jobs, and extorting money for the same. He duped people by saying that he had connections at Gandhinagar and could arrange for jobs.

Apart from this, he was also accused of breach of peace. Complaints regarding these matters were filed against him. Due to these issues, the Shehera Provincial Officer ordered to deport JB Solanki from the limits of Panchmahal and Mahisagar districts for 2 years.

Apparently, JB Solanki was alleged of being involved in creating an atmosphere of fear in the rural areas of Shehera taluka, along with engaging in acts threatening law and order. This prompted the District Police Chief to propose the deportation of the party leader. The Shehera Provincial Officer, based on the proposal, gave JB Solanki an opportunity to put forward his case, after which, his deportation, for a period of 2 years, was approved.

It is noteworthy that from the years 2023 to 2025, 10 cases have been registered against him. Moreover, in the year 2021, 6 cases were registered against him at the Shehera police station for crimes related to property and physical relations. Based on these cases, the Shehera Provincial Officer had ordered to deport the party leader for 2 years from 6 districts, namely, Panchmahal, Mahisagar, Dahod, Kheda, Chhota Udepur, and Vadodara.
