Over 50 Girls Suffer Food Poisoning At Residential School In Dahod

Dahod: At least 50 female students from a girls’ residential school in Lukhadiya village, Dahod, fell ill due to suspected food poisoning after consuming dinner. The affected students began complaining of symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, and uneasiness shortly after the meal.

The school, currently operating from a facility in Mandor (Limkheda), immediately alerted emergency services. A total of 56 students were rushed to the government hospital in Limkheda via 108 ambulance services for urgent medical attention.

Hospital authorities confirmed that all the students are in stable condition and are receiving the necessary treatment. Doctors said that timely intervention helped prevent any serious health complications. Health officials and local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the food poisoning. Samples of the food served to the students have been collected and sent to a laboratory for analysis.

The incident has sparked concern among parents, many of whom are questioning the quality and safety of food being served at the residential facility. Several have demanded strict action against those responsible and called for improved monitoring to prevent such incidents in the future.

Authorities have assured that appropriate measures will be taken once the investigation is complete.
